famed Battenkill River, which meanders through Manchester, is one of the hottest

the river and offers a section of "fly fishing only" water from the bridge south
for approximately one mile. The Battenkill offers up its beauty and entices anglers
with a challenge - the native trout are notoriously difficult to hook. The
Batten Kill is an all-year fishery. Cold underground springs help provide cool

Albans
The City of St Albans
is located near Lake Champlain in the Northwest corner of the state and was originally
settled in 1774 and incorporated as a city in 1897. During the Civil War period,
Saint Albans was the scene of the northernmost engagement of the American Civil

Vergennes was established in 1788 and
is the third oldest city in the United States and Vermont's oldest city. Only
Hartford and New Haven, Connecticut are older than Vergennes, Vermont. Vegennes
covers approximately 1200 acres of land and is home to over 2,000 people. Vergennes
is located in Addison County, 25 miles south of Burlington; 12 miles north of
Middlebury on Route 22A.
